Bio:

A bestselling author and academic, Noreena Hertz’s economic predictions over the last 15 years have proven to be ingenious.

She has had her internationally best-selling books, “The Silent Takeover” and “I.O.U.”, translated into 18 languages.

She has been named by The Observer as “one of the world’s leading thinkers” and by Vogue as “one of the world’s most inspiring women”. The Guardian too has gifted her with an illustrious title as “one of the top British Public Intellectuals”.

“Eyes Wide Open: How to Make Smart Decisions in a Confusing World”, Noreena’s latest book was published in September 2013 by HarperCollins and has already taken the commercial world by storm.

Noreena frequently appears on globally-aired television programmes, including those of CNN and the BBC. She is a highly sought after commentator and broadcaster and she has been interviewed by the likes of Charlie Rose, and the Hard Talk show – her work has been the subject of three broadcast documentaries. Her columns, written as op-ed pieces, have been published in such places as The Washington Post, The Financial Times, The Times, The Guardian and Der Spiegel amongst others.

An accomplished speaker, Noreena has provided keynote speeches and motivational talks at such forums as the World Economic Forum and TED as well as regularly speaking at major corporate events all over the world.

Advising a range of institutions, from multinational corporations and NGOs to politicians and start-up companies, Noreena sits on various charitable and corporate boards. She, having inspired Bono (co-founder of the project) with her writings, played a vital role in developing “(RED)”; a commercial concept that aims to raise money for people in Africa who suffer from AIDS.

As well as being the Chair of Globalisation and Finance at Duisenberg School of Finance, and Associate Director of the Centre for International Business at the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, Professor Noreena Hertz is a speaker that always impresses upon her audiences with great value and inspiration.
