About This Project

 

Born in Peru he began his musical studies in the piano discipline at the age of 8, at the Music School of the Conservatory of Music of his native city.

From the age of 11, he began to study viola, finishing the Superior Course with the highest qualifications.

He studied with maestro António Miñano Bardales and Ner Rojas Puican, and did an improvement course with the Japanese guitarist Ryuhei Kobayashi in Ecuador.

Between 1987 and 1993, he taught at the Conservatory of Music in Chiclayo (Peru), where he taught guitar, harmony and choral arrangements.

In 1989, he won the 1st Prize of the National Classical Guitar Contest, organized by the Peruvian Youth Musicians in the city of Lima, and later won a tour in Latin America.

He has been developing an activity in the Jazz area since 1994, having participated in the Festival Internacional de Jazz de Faro (Portugal) with a trumpet quartet.

He also loves to play ​​Latin and American jazz.

He finished the 5th year of studies of Classical Piano, in the year 2004, in the Conservatory of Beja. He has a degree in Music and Classical Guitar from the University of Évora (Portugal) and has studied Masters in Classical Guitar at the University of Extremadura with Ricardo Gallén.

Our musician held two major concerts in Peru in 2011.

In 2008, he recorded an original music album, for flute and guitar, with the renowned Peruvian flutist César Peredo, addressing the repertoire of Mauro Giuliani and Astor Piazzolla.
